Foundation created to assist animal rescue organizations

Betsy Palazzo and Koren Spadavecchia launched a new foundation to aid animal rescue groups in honor of their parents who had dedicated the last 40 years to the care of pets, The Hub reports.

The Palazzo family has owned and operated the Purr'n Pooch pet resort for the last four decades, and this new foundation will help to further assist the furry friends they have been pampering.

The goal of the foundation is to provide financial support and educational resources to nonprofit, no-kill animal rescue organizations.

"Despite a difficult economy, our family, clients and friends feel strongly about saving the lives of animals in desperate need of immediate action, care and love," Spadavecchia told the news source.

The organization will raise money through fundraising events and will support all types of animals including dogs, cats, farm and wild animals.

According to the Humane Society, every year more than six million pet are cared for by animal rescue shelters across the United States.ADNFCR-2796-ID-19899972-ADNFCR
