NH Animal Rescue League appoints new president

Rebecca Justice will be the new president of the New Hampshire Animal Rescue League, according to a new report from The Telegraph. She will also serve as the leader of the Conway Area Humane Society, which is now the Animal Rescue League of NH North.

Animal rescue leagues around the country are working to save pets such as dogs and cats from ending up euthanized. Animal population is a major problem throughout the country.

Justice is seen as an ideal leader because she has worked for more than ten years in the non-profit sector. She expressed enthusiasm for the new role.

“This is an exciting time for both the ARLNH in Bedford and the ARLNH North in Conway," Justice told the news source. “Both organizations have incredible potential which includes passionate and dedicated boards, staff, volunteers and supporters. I am delighted to be on board!”

More than 77 million dogs and 93 million cats are household pets throughout the U.S., according to the Humane Society. However, many more are in need of rescue.
