New board game teaches kids about animal adoption

One is never too young to learn the importance of animal rescue, and now, thanks to a new board game, parents can involve their children in this cause soon after they take their first steps.

According to, Carianne Burnley, the developer of the "Fur-Ever Home: The Animal Rescue Game," has certainly tried to help animals for most of her life. The kindhearted woman served on the board at her local Humane Society in Ohio and used her business and marketing expertise for her latest venture.

"What is the best way to solve this through something fun and that's where the board game idea came from," she told the news source.

The game is based around players selecting a rescue, hiring staff, raising money and finally rescuing a bunch of animals.

"My goal would be to get at least a small percentage of people out there to choose animal rescue the next time they go get a pet," Burnley told the news outlet.

According to the Humane Society, between three and four million dogs and cats are euthanized in shelters every year.
