Owners reunited with their lovable pet

Michelle and Steven Kaiser were unsure if they would ever see their Welsh corgi Guinness again following an accident, but their story has a happy ending, the Newton Daily News reports.

Guinness went missing after the Kaiser's camper and pickup truck overturned on a highway, fleeing the scene amidst all the chaos of the crash.

Animal rescue officials put the word out that the pooch was missing, hoping someone would find and return him. Sure enough, the canine was spotted close to where the accident occurred.

Bev Klingensmith found the dog in a live trap where he was shaking and frightened, but was in good health. He had been missing for two weeks. She notified the local animal rescue shelter and they contacted the Kaisers.

"This is the best gift in the whole world," Michelle Kaiser told the news source. "I was afraid we'd never see him."

The Humane Society recommends pet owners place a microchip in their pets, which helps ensure a speedier return if they get lost.ADNFCR-2796-ID-19927055-ADNFCR
