It was the weekend before Halloween 2013 and I was visiting my sister in Henderson, NV, My sister, her friend and I had decided to go to the bakery to get donuts. On the way to the bakery we saw a dog running as if it was lost. My sister started to call the dog but she kept running so I yelled for the dog to “STOP”, it did, next I said “COME” in a firm voice and it did. There was no collar on her so we put her in the car with us and went to the bakery. My sister feed the dog six donut holes, which she loved. We keep the dog with us that night and she slept with me, the next morning, we took her to the vet to scan he for a chip which she had one. We called the owner and took the dog back to them, as we were leaving the dog began to follow us.

The next day I’m back in Phoenix and thinking about the dog, so I called the owner to ask about her and was informed that she was lost again. I immediately called my sister; she posted lost dog signs with her phone number because she discovered the owner had moved. I called the animal welfare in Henderson for three days hoping that she had been found or dropped off. On Wednesday an officer called because she was found.

For three days I called to find out if the owner had come to get her. On Halloween I decided to drive back to Henderson NV, that evening my sister and I removed the signs. On Friday morning I adopted DONUT and brought her to live with us here in Phoenix.
