On August 21, 2011, my 10 year old cat Mariah was sent to Heaven to become an angel when we lost the battle with Feline Leukemia. I was beyond devastated, but I knew there was another little girl out there who needed me as much as I needed her. One day while browsing Kalamazoo Animal Rescue's website, I saw a picture of the sweetest little kitten face I had ever seen! Such personality in her eyes; I KNEW I had to have her! I met her on October 3, 2011 and we fell in love with eachother. Her foster mom told me that she wasn't really a "lap cat" and didn't like to be held, but she let me hold her for an extremely long time. I think we both knew we belonged together. I took her home the next day and named her Tiana. Tiana helped heal my broken heart and has been my very best friend in the world!

In February 2013, I began thinking about adopting another baby to keep me and Tiana company. I know how lucky Tiana is to have been rescued by a mommy who loves and spoils her so much, and I wanted to do the same for another furbaby out there. I began my search and finally found the sweetest looking little puppy being fostered by New Rattitude; a 4 month old rat terrier/dachshund mix. I knew she would be perfect for me and Tiana!

I brought my Chloe home on July 18 2013 and she has been the greatest addition for me and Tiana! They are now best friends and sisters, and I love my girls so much!
