A co-worker asked if I knew a good vet. I told him to make an appointment with the Dr. that cared for my late Mona & Joey because she was so wonderful with them. I decided to go and introduce them as I wanted to see everyone because it had been a year since Joey passed.
The morning of the appointment I arrived early, asked if Dr. had time to visit. During the visit I said I was thinking of adopting since Joey had been gone for a year and Mona five. She said WELLLLL I have someone to show you, she’s 13 very, very, very shy; OWNER went to a nursing home. So we went into a room with kennels and a sign on the door reading “cat loose in room, watch your step” two kennels were open and in one of them was Trouble. Dr. and I talked; I let Trouble smell my hand. I told Dr. I would think about it and call Monday. During our conversation I said that 3 or 4 times. We went back to reception area; I turned to Dr. and said I don’t need to think about it- I WILL adopt Trouble. Desk staff GAVE thumbs up and said we KNEW YOU WOULD. I said I would call Monday to make arrangements. A close friend wanted to help “deliver” when I adopted and he was able to on Tuesday the 2nd.
When we walked in he said “WE’RE LOOKING FOR TROUBLE” everyone cracked up.
She does not act like 13. She has a “condo”, steps, and window ledges and does not jump on the condo, uses her claws to crawl up – absolutely adorable! I am so blessed.
