The most unwanted best friend I ever had.

I wasn't really what you would call a dog person when I met Gooch in Oct of 2004. I had been talked into going to look at a dog by my girlfriend, so I had intended to go look at the 2 year old boxer then promptly tell my girlfriend at the time that he wasn't for me. My plan failed miserably. As soon as I saw Gooch for the first time I knew he had to be with me, and I needed to be with him. His owners were giving him away because he would jump the 8ft fence in his back yard and they didn't want to have to chase him down anymore. So I took him home that night and He was my best friend for 10 years. He was the one that stayed with me when I was sick and stayed by my side when life gave us both ups and downs. When I would come home from work even after old age had started to set in he would meet me at the door with a half spin, half ninja kick lol. In January of 2014 my wife called me at work to tell me Gooch was sick and it didn't look good. I was able to tell him how much I loved him over the phone since I couldn't leave work. I was on my way home when my wife called me again to tell me he had a massive heart attack and didn't make it. I lost my best friend that night, I still miss him and the pain is still real but he lives on in the hearts of all the lives he touched.
