The Animal Protective League (APL) is determined to find homes for the 2,000 cats and dogs that enter our shelter every year. APL improves the lives of animals and people by taking abandoned, sick, and injured cats and dogs into our shelter and adopting them into new homes; by providing high-quality, low-cost spay-neuter in our clinic; and by providing volunteer opportunities. APL operates a pet food bank and provides spay/neuter assistance for struggling owners; investigates animal cruelty; and provides humane education programs.
