CARA is a 501(c)3 non-for-profit, No Kill Animal Shelter and our mission is to provide high quality care and rehabilitation for homeless, injured and/or neglected animals through adopting, fostering, community partnerships, education and affordable spay/neuter and vaccination programs to improve their health and wellbeing. We rescue and rehabilitate all breeds of dogs and cats. We view our adoptable animals as if they were part of our family and strive to provide them with high quality care and companionship. Our animals are given only the best veterinary care and medical treatment is never declined if it can give the animal a chance to have a healthy and happy life. Our dogs are walked several times a day and our cats have several large, free-to-roam rooms with cat friendly furniture. All are given loving care by our amazing volunteers and staff. The pets we adopt out are all up to date on vaccines, sterilized, microchipped, and have also have had flea and ear treatment. We highly promote the importance of spaying and neutering and the effect it has on the pet overpopulation crises America is facing. CARA has many goals for the future and we look forward to seeing them unfold.
