Clay County Animal Shelter

We are a very young 501 c3 shelter in a small rual county in East Central Alabama. Because or county is so rual, we have a lot of animals dumped in areas with no population. Our shelter is always overwhelmed and full, because we are NO KILL. We are also under staffed, have very few volunteers, and can only afford 1 part time employee at the present. Since our opening in September of 2015, we have taken in 1176 animals. We work with rescues to find our puppies homes, but our large dogs have been a problem. we desparately need all the help we can get!
