FAR Side Journey is a volunteer-driven 501(c)(3) nonprofit rescue organization, and we depend on the generosity and support of our donors, sponsors, affiliates, volunteers and foster caregivers.We are dedicated to saving the lives of shelter animals through rescue, education and supporting other rescue organizations and municipal animal shelters so that all animals have a safe environment while awaiting adoption. Our commitment includes forever and Fospice fostering for animals with special needs and programs that contribute to the well-being of animals currently being housed/held in municipal shelters. Thousands of animals in the greater Los Angeles area are euthanized each year and we strive to make an impact on the lives we can save. Our commitment to our community can only be achieved with your support. Save the Meow Meows is a nonprofit cat program under FAR Side Journey rescue. Originally started in 2020, Save the Meow Meows was based solely off of fostering. We just recently opened our first shelter location with Save the Meow Meows Cat Lounge in Yucca Valley, CA. We hope with a physical location, we can house more cats and get even more adopted. We focus on saving cats from the most high kill shelters such as SEAACA in Downey, CA and Devore Shelter in San Bernardino County.
