We are a small (growing) rescue on a mission to End veteran suicide and save dogs too. By placing rescued dogs that would otherwise have no hope, with a veteran for emotional support, we can save 2 lives at a time. Giving both the dog and veteran a new purpose to focus on, we have seen great success in the overall emotional well being of both dog and veteran. In some cases we also train dogs for service when appropriate and funds are available. We are expecting to do much more of this as we grow. The need here is extraordinarily disproportionate to the availability. Although we strive to place as many dogs as we can with veterans, it is not always appropriate for the dog, so we do civilian adoptions as well. We are based in the greater Houston Texas area, but we will transport dogs to where they are wanted, in order for them to have the best chance at an amazing ever after story.
