The Kabul Small Animal Rescue provides routine and emergency medical services for pets, street animals and working dogs in Kabul, Afghanistan. The staff is on-site for 24/7 intake and can provide animal retrieval. The facilities include quarantine areas to safely treat contagious diseases, a recently renovated surgical suite, and long-term boarding and animal sanctuary spaces. KSAR has many permanent residents who can't be adopted due to ongoing medical issues or because they are seniors. KSAR gives those residents the best lives possible. KSAR has been able to send retired working dogs to a K9 rescue and rehabilitation group in the US, where their medical needs will be attended to, and eventually they will go on to be adopted, as well as sending cats and dogs to loving homes with adopters in the United States.
