The conditions these dogs have been living in is heartbreaking and horrifying. Dogs and puppies in rural Alabama were found in a filthy home, living in the walls, insulation, and flooring. Many pregnant dogs have resorted to digging dens in the ground to give birth to their puppies.
The horrifying conditions these dogs have endured in this suspected hoarding and neglect case have been described as "unlivable." Scared dogs were found hiding in feces/urine-soaked mattresses and old furniture.
Rescuers have spent weeks humanely trapping dogs in the home -with feces up to their ankles in some parts - and around the property, but the animals are terrified and many remain elusive. The total number of pets involved in this suspected hoarding case is still being determined, as they have scattered across the property.
So far, dozens of dogs have been rescued, and more are caught every day. All of them are in desperate need of medical attention, food, and care. Every dog needs veterinary care.
Please help us provide urgent medical care to save the lives of dogs rescued from this case of alleged hoarding and neglect.
