Success! Thank you so much for helping Doug keep his sight!
On January 25th, 10-week-old Doug was cruelly thrown over an 8-foot fence into the yard of Waukegan Animal Control. He was scared and in so much pain. Doug's eyes were crusted over and cloudy, with double eye infections and corneal ulcers. There was inflammation and infection behind the cornea, and he was suffering from a severe respiratory illness.
Doug was transferred to a cat rescue and taken to an eye specialist. The specialist found that Doug was blind in one eye and most likely was born that way. He now has to be administered eye medications 12 times a day and given oral antibiotics to alleviate his respiratory illness and internal eye infections. Doug’s foster family is focusing on improving his sighted eye, but if his blind eye causes complications, he’ll have to have surgery to remove it.
You can help sweet Doug recover from this traumatic illness and infections. Your support will not only give Doug hope to keep fighting, but your donations will help cover his costly medication and the ongoing care he will need to continue to see.
Help us meet our goal of $1,200 to help care for Doug and pets like him.
