One Christmas morning, I heard a baby barking out in the very cold early morning! So, at 5:30 a.m., I went out to see which neighbor's puppy had wandered away, but, to my excitement, there was this tiny little feller trying to crawl up and underneath one of our vehicles.
I finally caught him, and he was so scared and cold. He had big brown eyes looking at me with fear inside. Right at that moment, he had won my heart, and I knew he was mine.
I brought him inside, and he was shivering from being out in the cold. I was angry that someone set him out in the 21-degree weather, but I knew he would never know the fear and cold again. My boyfriend says he's not going anywhere.
We took him into our home and hearts, and he loves our two female cats and one male cat and they love him. Our home would not be the same without Lucky. I gave him that name and tell him that he was Lucky that he found us!
He rules our hearts, house and lives, and we love him with all our hearts! He's our special Christmas gift.
