URGENT: Record-Breaking Heat Wave Threatens Lives of People and Pets.

As temperatures rise across the United States, wildfires and other heat-related disasters have put millions at risk in the last few weeks. Deaths due to extreme heat are among the highest compared to other natural disasters and impacted cities have begun canceling outdoor events and opening cooling centers for unhoused people.

Heat waves in California and wildfires in New Mexico have already forced entire towns to leave their homes due to evacuation orders. With thousands of people and pets already displaced from their homes, the need for help is incredibly urgent. Greater Good Charities is assessing the need with partners across the nation to assist with supplies, financial support, and care packs.
