Cat Sneaks Along On Family Vacation And Has The Best Time Ever
When you have an animal in your family, you realize that they are going to be your shadow when you're getting ready for a trip. It's almost as if they know you are getting ready to leave, and they don't want to be more than a few feet from you at any given time.
According to News Center Maine, when Andrea Scholten was getting ready for a trip with her husband and three children, they were rushing around to pack up their camper. They were going on a 900-mile road trip from Maine to Wisconsin, and they didn't want to forget a thing.
The problem was, as they were preparing the camper for the trip, they didn't realize they had a stowaway passenger. When they stopped in Toledo for the night, they opened the door, and their cat, Delilah, was there.
Andrea spoke about this with a local news station, saying: "I just screamed 'Delilah!' and my husband and the kids were like 'Delilah!' So, we went to Target, we bought her food, litter, a collar that we could write her name on because we were completely unprepared for this."
They were already prepared to document their vacation on Facebook. After all, they were going to an air show but it turned out that the cat was a bigger hit than any plane could be.
Even before they got to the airshow, the cat was a celebrity, and people were thrilled to learn more about the #stowawayoshkoshcat. From the first story they put up, people loved it and were commenting that they wanted more Delilah. So they gave them what they wanted.
Even the event organizers had a skywriting drawing that looked a little familiar. They wanted to show their appreciation for Delilah and the fact that she had traveled so far to see the show.
Jason shared about the Delilah tribute on Facebook:
The family also visited Niagara Falls when they were on their way back home. Delilah seemed to enjoy every step of the journey, and why not? She was with the ones she loved.
I love to write and it keeps me busy. I've been working online, full time since 1999. When you can't find me at the keyboard, you'll find me getting as much as I can out of life. I enjoy living simply, playing games, visiting the beach, and spending time with my family.
