Senior Cat Rescued from the Streets During Winter Storm Finally Living His Best Life

A senior cat named Uncle Chip defied the odds and survived on the streets of Oklahoma even as his body aged and his eyesight declined.

Even though he was managing to survive, he was not thriving.

He was finally rescued by a concerned citizen during a winter storm and brought to Watonga Community Cat Foundation.

They discovered the resilient feline, in addition to his failing sight, was suffering from arthritis, chronic ear infections, and occasional incontinence.

Uncle Chip was started on medication which he will need daily for the rest of his life to help with his arthritis. A loving foster home took him in and is showering him with love.

They told us, "Uncle Chip is a wonderful guy who loves taking naps with his foster mom and keeping general surveillance inside his home."

The senior fella is a picky eater and refused to eat both dry and wet cat food. His foster mom finally found something we loved to eat - tasty, donated treats.

Your donations helped provide these treats and Uncle Chip and the rescue are so grateful.

They said, "Uncle Chip is delighted to have them available to him whenever he is needing a snack. Next to finally being safe and loved, we believe that Friskies Party Mix is Uncle Chip’s favorite thing."

Click to Help James

James and his blind brother, William, were found abandoned on the street when they were just four weeks old. James was born with one blind eye that started to cause him discomfort. Over time, that eye became increasingly painful and irritated. James is the seeing-eye cat for his brother, making his condition even more urgent to treat.
