Rescuers Spend Weeks Attempting To Catch Timid Pittie In Dilapidated House

A Missouri-based animal rescue is no stranger to catching stray dogs, but some cases prove more challenging than others.

As Stray Rescue of St. Louis shared on YouTube, one of their recent rescues ended up taking weeks to accomplish, but it was all worth it in the end.

The stray dog, who they named Marianne Clare, was wandering the streets when the rescue was called. Team members managed to track her down to an abandoned, run-down house, where she seemingly had been hanging out and calling "home."

Donna with Stray Rescue of St. Louis ventured into the dilapidated home and fed Marianne a coveted cheeseburger, but that wasn't enough to win the dog's trust. When Donna tried to get closer to Marianne, the poor pup sprinted away and jumped from a window.

Donna and the other rescuers refused to give up and they set up trap after trap in an attempt to catch Marianne.

After weeks of trying, Donna was finally successful and managed to get a leash around Marianne. They even took the dog's "creepy doll" she'd been spotted playing with from the old house.

Now, the rescue describes the timid pooch as "a CUDDLE MACHINE." She's loving life in her foster home and can't wait to be adopted into a forever family.
