Dear Representatives Tom Marino and Betty Sutton,

I applaud your efforts to crack down on people who are caught attending animal fights. Animal fighting is now federally illegal; but the demand for it remains. If we don't prosecute animal fight attendees in addition to prosecuting those who are facilitating them, a potentially dangerous part of the population remains free. Animal Fighting Spectator Prohibition Act of 2011 (H.R. 2492) is important because it attempts to address that problem by punishing those who are simply involved in watching animal fights.

I am writing to thank you for your dedication to animal welfare and to ask you to continue lobbying against animal fight spectators. These people are potentially just as dangerous as the facilitators themselves, and need to be punished for any involvement with the activity.

Thank you for your consideration.
