Global warming continues to threaten polar bears, their habitat, and their feeding grounds. Take action now!

It is once again time to take a stand for the precious polar bear. A report recently surfaced about a mother polar bear who swam for nine days, nonstop, searching for food for herself and her cub. While polar bears are accustomed to freezing temperatures, the unprecedented nine-day swim caused the bear to lose more than twenty percent of her body fat, as well as her small cub.
The distance and time of the mother’s swim indicates that warming temperatures are having profound effects on polar bear survival — she was forced to swim for nine straight days in order to find an ice floe.
Interior Secretary Ken Salazar has repeatedly refused to uplist the polar bear from “threatened” to “endangered.” But it’s clear that polar bears are in serious peril. Urge Secretary Salazar to list polar bears as “endangered” once again in order to increase the urgency on saving this majestic species!
