Thank food service firm Bon Appetit for setting the standard for humane animal treatment in the food industry.

Bon Appetit — a company that provides catering to colleges and corporations — has enhanced its effort to save animals. It has consistently demonstrated social responsibility, but the latest announcement further solidifies the firm’s promise to protect animals.
Bon Appetit’s new policies, according to the company’s press release, make it “the food industry’s most comprehensive farm animal welfare policy to date.” The reforms are as follows:
· all pork must not be raised in gestation crates; welfare housing must be used instead
· all hens must be housed in cage-free facilities
· fois gras will no longer be offered
· only responsible poultry, meat, and egg producers who have received animal welfare certifications will be used
Thank Bon Appetit for advocating for the fair treatment of America’s farm animals.
