A brutal hurricane season decimated flowers and other bee food sources across the Southeast. Bees will starve this holiday season if we don't act now.

Helene and Milton caused an ecological disaster across the southeastern U.S., leaving widespread devastation to crops and their pollinators in its wakeAn estimated 95,000 hives were affected by the hurricanes and are struggling to survive. With limited natural food sources left, a replacement source is urgently needed to keep affected bees well-nourished while they repopulate.

Because one out of every three bites of food in the United States depends on honeybees, much of our food supply would be lost without their pollination. Bees are responsible for over 130 of the fruits and vegetables we love – and we aren’t the only ones who need these plants and crops. Animals and insects everywhere depend on these plants and crops too!

This holiday season, your help is urgently needed to save the bees. Hurricanes Helene and Milton have wiped out plant forage and damaged beehives, threatening the starvation of billions of bees used to pollinate food crops across the country.

Our nonprofit partner, Greater Good Charities, has teams on the ground providing emergency bee pollen substitute to help beekeepers keep their hives fed. So far, they've provided 58,000 gallons of syrup and nearly 62,000 pounds of pollen substitute to beekeepers in Florida, feeding more than 10.5 billion bees. They’ve also provided 21,000 pounds of sugar to North Carolina beekeepers to help feed their hives.

But there is still work to be done. Join the holiday Hive Drive to help to deliver 3 more rounds of food to ensure bees can survive through the winter!

Save the bees

I felt this was a very worth cause to donate to. Without bees, we will be in big trouble….no food because of no bee pollination.
