I volunteer at Redwood Coast Humane Society in Gualala, California, where we recently took in a found cat who had a microchip. Thanks to that little chip, we were able to reunite this sweet boy with his family over the weekend.

Even more amazing, during the more than two months he was missing, he had traveled all the way from the Sacramento Valley to the coast!

It’s a wonderful reminder of how important microchipping our pets can be. After this experience, I’m an even bigger believer in making sure every pet has a microchip.
