AWR Cat Tails Rescue is a non-profit cat rescue that was founded in 2003. Our mission is to provide a safe environment for cats to be housed until new permanent homes can be found. We have two very active accounts with Petsmart, one in Lakewood to serve as our adoption center for the Denver metro area and the other at our local Pueblo Petsmart. This has enabled us to increase our adoptions thereby servicing a larger population of our community. We even extend our reach to accept transfers from out of state whenever we are able to. So far, our rescue has saved felines from High Kill Shelters in Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico. Whether local or transported, we provide all their vet care including shots, alterations and the treatment of any illnesses while they await their new homes.
