The Houston Humane Society is dedicated to, and working towards, ending cruelty, abuse and the overpopulation of animals while providing the highest quality of life to those brought to us for care. As a non-profit organization, we receive no funding from the city, the county, the state, or from any national animal welfare organizations. We rely solely on donations to fund our programs, services, and events. Thanks to our supporters, provide the Houston community with a variety of programs including pet adoptions, humane education, animal crimes investigations, low cost spay/neuter, and wellness clinic. Earlier this year, we were also able to launch our Pet Pantry which provides free pet food and supplies to those well-meaning pet owners needing assistance, especially those falling on difficult financial times due to COVID-19.We are happy to give dogs, cat, livestock, and an assortment of other animals a second chance of life.
