We are a smaII, muItipIe breed rescue, with emphasis on Labrador Retrievers, Shepherds and other sporting/working breeds.Our philosophy centers around 'the road to wellness' for the dogs we rescue. Our dogs are at the best of heaIth and 'adoptabIe' status when posted. We concentrate on giving them the best nutrition, vitamin & wellness supplements, care, training and behavioraI assessments to assure optimal adoption pIacement. Our dogs are all in foster homes for a minimal of 2-3 months prior to our deeming them 'adoptable'. Others, due to health or behavioral issues, are in foster longer until they reach our criteria for 'adoptability'. We give training and guidance to our adopters throughout the process and thereafter. Our placement success rate is 99%.A component of our rescue is also as a resource for individuals and agencies who are seeking an 'assistance' dog. Depending on where in the disability spectrum the need is (ex. emotional support; emotional therapy; aid/assist/alert 'service dog'), we align that need with a suitable candidate dog, if one is available. It is a careful, detailed and confidential process between the organization and person, and we do not charge any additional fees for the service. We have had a 100% success rate in this endeavor.
