Northeast Avian Rescue (NEAR) is a parrot and exotic pet bird shelter located in Eastern Upstate New York. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home abused, neglected and otherwise unwanted parrots and exotic pet birds throughout Eastern New York and New England. NEAR handles over 200 cases per year, with all birds housed and cared for in our central shelter located in East Greenbush, NY.
