On June 13, In partnership with Petfinder.com powered by Purina® and The Animal Rescue Site, Greater Good Charities celebrated Adopt a Cat month by sending a life-saving flight full of adoptable cats from California to Oregon, to shelters with more space and more adopters.

This important flight departed on June 13th with 120 cats and 7 dogs. The pets on this flight are at-risk pets; without the flight, they might never find their loving homes due to the overcrowding that often happens in shelters. Sending these pets from under-resourced shelters to shelters with empty spaces will give them a second chance at life AND the adoption they deserve.

Meet some of the pet passengers on last month's flight below!

Meet Gabrielle

This 10-week-old Torbie (tortoiseshell-tabby) Domestic Short Hair will be travelling to the Oregon Humane Society.

She is very affectionate and a bit of a daredevil, we are excited to help her find a fur-ever home.

Meet Kenai Fjords!

Kenai Fjords is a 10-week-old domestic shorthair. Kenai Fjords as we affectionately call him was fostered when he was just a few weeks old.

Kenai Fjords was initially on eye medication and once that was resolved, he became his spunky and sweet self! Kenai Fjords is a purr machine and loves to cuddle!

 Meet Beau!

Meet Beau, a 10-week-old Orange Tabby Domestic Shorthair. Beau is very playful, social, sweet, and affectionate. When he needs a break from playing, he loves sleeping on your lap.

Beau is social, gentle, and he loves playing with his toys. Also, he loves to be held and cuddled. He is ready to find a loving home in Oregon.

Every month we fly a group of deserving pets. Help us fund July's Flight to Freedom now! Just $5, helps cover the fuel costs of flying a pet 125 miles towards safety.

In shelters across the country, highly adoptable dogs and cats are euthanized just because the shelters are overcrowded. In other areas, shelters have a shortage of adoptable pets. We're transporting these pets to shelters where they're immediately adopted.

This month's Good Flight will transport at-risk dogs and cats to safety!

*Due to many factors including pets being adopted prior to a flight, receiving shelter capacity, and pet health, the final number of pets on a flight may be different from totals quoted above.

As $5 can save a pet I try to save three or five or more. I pray many people will save several pets then they will ALL fly to freedom and new homes. This is a wonderful charity!
