We need your support to fly dozens of at-risk shelter pets to freedom on our Most Wonderful Flight of the Year.
Thanks to Boehringer Ingelheim, sponsor of the Save a Heart initiative, your donation will be matched up to $50,000.
Shelter animals have only one gift they want this holiday season - a forever home.
'Tis the season of giving, and we want to give shelter pets a home for the holidays. Help us fly dozens of shelter cats and dogs to freedom on December 23. We need your help to complete this life-saving mission.

Save a Heart is a life-saving initiative of Greater Good Charities that aims to reduce shelter euthanasia in overcrowded shelters by preventing and treating heartworm disease in shelter dogs, while transporting adoptable asymptomatic heartworm-positive dogs to safety.
Together with Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health, The Animal Rescue Site, Save a Heart transports hundreds of asymptomatic heartworm-positive dogs to new homes each year.
The animals on this flight are at-risk pets; without the flight, they might never find their loving homes due to the overcrowding that often happens in shelters. Sending these pets from under-resourced shelters to shelters with empty spaces will give them a second chance at life AND the adoption they deserve.

Meet some of the pet passengers on our last flight below!

Meet Annie!
This young terrier mix has had a rough life but is ready to leave it behind and find a forever home.
Her caretakers shared, "Annie has been through more than most dogs her age, yet she meets every day with a gentle spirit and a hopeful heart. After being injured in a bus accident while getting x-rays it was also discovered she had a bullet still in her from an older injury, she has shown the kind of resilience we recognize in so many animals who simply want the chance to feel safe and loved again."
Help this sweet, affectionate pup who loves to give kisses find a home for the holidays in Wisconsin.

Meet Blake!
This kitten will melt your heart and make you laugh with her crazy antics.
"Blake may be small, but her personality is anything but. She’s a cuddly kitten who brings a mix of warmth and spark to every moment. One minute she’s curled up in your hands, and the next she’s off exploring with the kind of spunky confidence that makes her fun to be around. She has a naturally playful streak and a good sense of humor about the world—quick with pounces, curious looks, and the kind of antics that make you smile," states her current shelter.

Meet Gator!
This one-year-old German Shepherd mix is adjusting well to life on three legs. He arrived with a badly broken leg, and the only option was amputation. He has recovered well and is a playful dog who enjoys meeting new people and other dogs.
His goofy and friendly demeanor is an instant mood booster. He is ready for his next adventure in Wisconsin.
Help fly them all to freedom!
Every month we fly a group of deserving pets. Help us fund the next Flight to Freedom now! Just $10, helps cover the fuel costs of flying a pet 250 miles towards safety.
In shelters across the country, highly adoptable dogs and cats are euthanized just because the shelters are overcrowded. In other areas, shelters have a shortage of adoptable pets. We're transporting these pets to shelters where they're immediately adopted.
This month's Good Flight will transport at-risk dogs and cats to safety!
*Due to many factors including pets being adopted prior to a flight, receiving shelter capacity, and pet health, the final number of pets on a flight may be different from totals quoted above.
