Moochy was transferred from a shelter where he risked euthanasia to a rescue group in the same area. Upon arrival, the puppy couldn't contain his excitement and started running with both rear legs in the air at once. While his bunny hop gait is very cute, it is indicative of a bigger issue and most likely from a traumatic experience before Moochy's time at the shelter. His injury is affecting his ability to grow up as a happy, healthy pup!

Moochy needs a femoral head ostectomy to restore pain-free mobility in the hips. After surgery, he will spend at least six weeks in recovery where he won't be able to run or jump. When Moochy has regained mobility, he'll be fully prepared to find his forever home.
