Zosia is a monkey who has endured a lifetime of suffering in a small cage that deprived her of even the most basic freedom of movement. She was isolated in a lightless basement and given only beets to eat.
These harsh conditions took a devastating toll on Zosia's body. Her chest is concave and her back humped due to the restrictive nature of the cage. These physical challenges, along with internal health issues, have made it nearly impossible for Zosia to achieve a normal body weight, even with a specialized diet.
Unfortunately, many of this sweet monkey's injuries can only be corrected with surgery. After this, Zosia will need extensive rehabilitation with limited movement to allow for proper healing, and will require lifelong support and care.
While Zosia is on the road to recovery and is regaining her strength, she isn't done healing yet and needs your help to cover her ongoing treatment.
