Senior Dog Suffering with Kidney Stones and Dental Disease Abandoned on Side of Road
Andrea Powell
Sick and injured animals continue to arrive at shelters in need of emergency care, but most shelters are overcrowded and underfunded. They need our help to save lives.
With your support, we are conducting our 3rd Annual Paws in Peril Care-A-Thon. The week-long campaign will help severely neglected, injured, and sick animals get the emergency care they need to survive and thrive.
Dogs like Perla.

The ten-year-old Shih Tzu mix was found suffering on the side of the road. She was skinny, covered in matted fur, overgrown nails, and abandoned by the people who were supposed to love her.

She was taken in by a local rescue, Wagon Tails Farm Rescue, who noticed she was in visible pain when she tried to eat and go to the bathroom. She was rushed to the vet who found she has multiple large kidney stones and severe dental disease.

Perla needs emergency surgery to remove the massive kidney stones and infected teeth. She is receiving pain medication and antibiotics while she waits.
Humans have let her down in the past, so join us in showing her that people still care. Donate now to help her get the life-saving care she needs to survive and thrive.
