Sick and injured animals continue to arrive at shelters around the world in need of emergency care, but most shelters are overcrowded and underfunded. They need our help to save lives.
With your support, we are conducting our 3rd Annual Paws in Peril Care-A-Thon. The week-long campaign will help severely neglected, injured, and sick animals get the emergency care they need to survive and thrive.
Dogs like Phoenix.

The seven-year-old dog lived on the war-torn streets of Ukraine and was cared for by grandmothers who stayed behind to care for homeless and abandoned animals. He is a favorite due to his sweet and friendly demeanor.
During one the many bombings in the area, Phoenix became trapped under the rubble of a destroyed building. Local residents called animal rescuers at 12 Guards for help.

The poor dog sustained severe injuries to his torso and was in excruciating pain as he was rushed to a veterinary clinic for intensive care.

It will be a long and expensive road to recovery for Phoenix. Will you help him get the care he needs to heal?

Phoenix will need to undergo surgery once he regains his strength for wound suturing and skin grafting. He will also need weeks of constant care involving antibiotics, pain medication, and wound care.
Help him rise from this injury and continue to fight. Donate today to help save his life.
