Meet Angel. 

The two-year-old terrier mix was found in excruciating pain unable to stand on his own. He was one of numerous dogs rescued from deplorable conditions in a hoarding case.

He just laid in the dirt unable to move. Rescuers rushed him to a local veterinarian to be examined. Based on the X-rays and exam, rescuers believe he was hit by a car and then left to suffer with multiple broken bones. 

Angel has two fractured hips and two broken legs with multiple breaks. Even through all the pain, he continues to wag his tail. This poor fella is also suffering from tick-borne illnesses and is anemic. 

It will be a long road to recovery that will involve major orthopedic surgeries and treatment for infection, pain, and blood loss.

The medical team is not sure how long ago Angel incurred these injuries but said that he already has muscle atrophy, which means he will need physical therapy after surgery.
