Update: Your donations helped Janet get the surgery she needed to walk again. Her caretakers shared, "Janet's front leg was amputated and she is now on the road to recovery. Our veterinarian is extremely confident that Janet will have a complete recovery after she recovers from her surgery. You can already tell that the relief Janet is experiencing from the decreased pain that she had felt for too long."

Thank you for your support! Read her full story below.

Meet Janet

At just five weeks old she managed to escape the devastating LA wildfires, but not without injury. She is unable to put weight on her front leg, which appears to be broken.

She was taken in by local rescue, California Labradors, Retrievers, & More who rushed her to a vet to be examined.

The sweet pup had several tests and X-rays which showed that her leg was never going to heal properly, and the best option is amputation.

Her caretakers shared that she is the most loving dog despite the pain she has endured.

Janet has her whole life ahead of her but needs surgery to walk and run again without pain. She deserves to play as puppies should and with your help will live a long and full life.

Greater Good Charities' Emergency Animal Medical fund is helping with her medical bills with your continued support. The fund helps save lives and provide vital medical care to sick and injured animals.

Donate today to help Janet get surgery and then months of physical therapy to adjust to life on three legs. Your gift will not only give her the hope to keep fighting, but your donations will help cover her ongoing care.

Click to Help James

James and his blind brother, William, were found abandoned on the street when they were just four weeks old. James was born with one blind eye that started to cause him discomfort. Over time, that eye became increasingly painful and irritated. James is the seeing-eye cat for his brother, making his condition even more urgent to treat.
