Ukrainian soldiers have taken in countless animals they have found near the frontlines and cared for them until they could be transported to a safe location. 

Just another reason why they are heroes.

Soldiers recently came across an emaciated dog and started to share their food with her. They were shocked when she gave birth just a short time later. 

She had three puppies, but only one survived. The little fighter and his mama are both malnourished and need emergency care to live. 

Krystina with Under the Sun Shelter arrived to take Mama and her puppy away from the frontlines. They will need months of nutritious meals and care as well as vital vaccinations.
