Homeless Cats in Hungary Have Full Bellies Thanks to Your Donations

Your donations are helping to feed hungry animals near and far, including in Hungary.

There are an estimated 3 million stray cats on the streets of Hungary searching for food and shelter. Local animal rescues and organizations like Ant Community Foundation do their best to feed and care for the homeless cats - but they need our help.

That is where your donations come in. Thanks to your generosity, a truckload of cat food was delivered to rescues in Hungary.

"This incredible donation is a huge help in the daily struggles of animal protection," shared Ant Community. "Altogether, we delivered the food to 25 animal welfare organizations across the country. According to the feedback, this support was literally life-saving in many places. Shelters and colony caretakers can now breathe a little easier. Less worry means more attention and love for the cats."

They told us about how the food helped a tiny kitten found barely alive. The kitten was locked away and didn't have access to food or water for three days before she was rescued. She was severely dehydrated, emaciated, and barely hanging on.

She was rescued just in time and thanks to a lot of care, love, and nutritious food, is on the road to recovery. She has transformed into a playful fluffball who devours her food.

Her caretakers shared, "Her journey from near death to recovery is nothing short of a miracle. We’re deeply grateful to everyone who helped make this possible."

Your donations are saving lives. We want to thank you for your continued support. The rescues are also grateful for the help and said, "Thank you, Greater Good Charities, for thinking of us and of Hungarian animal welfare. Together, we can make miracles happen."

More Help is Needed

There is a stray animal crisis in many countries with millions of animals searching for food on the streets. Join us in helping these innocent animals who are struggling to survive.

Puppies and kittens, many orphaned, have a slim chance of survival without intervention. Overpopulation is a large issue, increasing the spread of disease, probability of injury, and forcing animals to compete for resources.

Our partners are working with local animal organizations to help these animals get the food and medical care they need and reduce the number of strays with spay and neuter.

Donate today to help save lives.
