People and Pets Displaced in California Wildfires Receive Much-Needed Supplies

Thanks to your donations, Greater Good Charities (GGC) has been distributing pet food and essential supplies to people and pets impacted by the devastating wildfires in California.

The massive fires have killed at least 27 people with dozens still missing and destroyed over 12,000 homes and businesses as they continue to spread.

Evacuated people are eager to return to their homes to see what remains but until then are relying on donated supplies to get by. Many are unsure if their home still stands and may have lost everything.

GGC's Disaster Response Team immediately responded after reports of the fires. Within 48 hours, the teams distributed hundreds of emergency packs, filled with first aid kits, hygiene products, blankets, flashlights, and 100,000 pet meals to those in the Los Angeles area.

The truckloads of pet food and supplies were quickly distributed to those in need. The team stopped at a local hotel where evacuees were staying with their pets and were met with gratitude for the much-needed supplies.

In east LA, people patiently waited in line, some with their pets, to get a Good Pack filled with emergency supplies and pet food.

Pet crates, collars, leashes, and pet food were delivered to an animal center in Agoura Hills to help people and pets in need. Good Packs and pet food were also distributed at Santa Anita Park.

Thanks to your continued support, GGC has provided:

  • Over 3 million pet meals to displaced pets
  • Established three warehouses across Southern California to distribute essential supplies
  • Conducting an emergency flight to save shelter pets and make room for displaced pets
  • Funding medical care for injured pets, horses, and wildlife

The need is still great as the fires continue to spread. Donate now to lend a helping hand to people and pets impacted by the wildfires.
