Nicole Ellis, Certified Professional Trainer and Rover Pet People Panelist said, "This year's report reads like the magazines we used to love flipping through—the names are equal parts tabloid-worthy and total comfort food."

The name options for your newly adopted dog or cat are endless. Most people choose a name based on things they love like music, food, or favorite movie character. While others come up with a name as unique as their furry friend.

Dog Names Based on Cartoons

Laughter is the best medicine and so are dogs, which makes it a no brainer to look to cartoons for a name for your pet. Dog owners are looking to cartoons, anime, and even Disney movies for a name that will make them smile as much as their dog does.
