It is National Feed a Rescue Pet Week!

The Animal Rescue Site along with our partner, Greater Good Charities, dedicates a week to raise as much funds as possible – with your support – to feed hungry dogs and cats in shelters around the country.

Shelters are overcrowded and in desperate need of food donations. Adoptions are down and intakes are up. There are so many mouths to feed.

Help us provide 3 million meals to feed shelter pets around the country, like Reba.

Reba's life had a rough start, but she is now thriving thanks in part to your donations.

She arrived at an emergency clinic extremely underweight and was surrendered to be euthanized. LowRider Dachshund Rescue happened to be at the clinic and came to her rescue.

"Reba had chronic diarrhea, her owners at the time tossed her outside to avoid the problem," shared the rescue.

Reba was so malnourished and weak that she needed a blood transfusion to survive. The little fighter slowly regained her strength and even beat Parvo disease.

Her recovery took months, but thanks to your generosity, she had all the nutritious food she could eat. A year later, she has transformed into a happy and healthy pup who has endless energy.

She is still looking for an active partner who will take her on hikes and to the park. Learn more about how to adopt her here

Rescue pets like Reba all over the country need your help. July is one of the busiest months of the year for many shelters and rescues, and more animals means more hungry bellies. Food is the largest expense for shelters and one that they struggle to afford on their minimal budgets.

That is where you can help. Together we can help feed and care for these innocent animals until they find forever homes.

Help us reach our goal to deliver 3 million meals to hungry shelter pets. Just $25 ships 500 meals—donate now to help.
