Amy was a feral that I fostered for Stray Rescue during the pandemic shut down.
She’s a beautiful fluffy grey girl that should’ve never been living on the streets.
She started out in a cat condo, until she felt comfortable enough to be out in the house with the rest of the cats. She fell in love with my male cat, Ernie, and they have been inseparable since!
Ernie would visit her several times a day to check on her, and that’s when this love story started. Of course I had to foster fail so this bonded pair could live their days out together. If Ernie is in a room, Amy isn’t far behind him. They have “date nights” on the rug in my living room, or I find them snuggled up together in Amy’s fluffy bed. They are the cutest!
She still doesn’t allow humans to touch her voluntarily, but she tells us humans what she wants and when she wants it! Nightly, she will stare at her humans and sometimes meows to tell us it’s bedtime and she needs her wet food. She has the other cats trained to do this, as well. If there’s a disagreement between Amy and one of the other girls, Ernie is there to defend her honor.
I seriously have never seen a true love story like theirs in real life. I hope someday I have the same luck as this sweet couple has had!
