It was a cold Christmas morning and I was caring for my feral colony of black cats when I noticed a small white cat in the area. She cried a little, so I set out some food for her. She came to eat and I picked her up easily and brought her inside to warm up and get the food and water she obviously needed.

I took her to the vet to get tested and vaccinated and he told me she had the first signs of frostbite on her ears. Another night in the cold would probably have claimed them, if not her life. She was not cuddly and never came to sit on my lap until one day when I was crying over the loss of my #1 kitty.

She gently crawled onto my chest and sat over my heart and murmured softly until I stopped crying. She was indeed my Angel. I fostered her until I found a good home for her.

She is now mistress of a home where she is in charge and keeps the family's German Shepherd in line.
