Our older hound rescue had died of cancer, and our other dog Strider was lonely. We had been looking for another dog to rescue so he'd have a companion.

Most all animals love him, so I figured it would be easy to find another dog that would work out. We did numerous meet and greets and for whatever reason, the other dogs did not seem to click with Strider. We had just had another failed meet and greet when we were standing in the lobby of Animal Rescue Project, and there was a lady with some puppies getting their vaccine boosters.

My dog Strider was instantly drawn to one of them. The feeling seemed to be mutual. A strong bond was instantaneous! We had already been pre-approved, so we were able to bring her home that day.

Dolly is a delightful young dog who has a zest for life! She is a great example of how pit bulls or pit mixes can be great family dogs and very loving! She has brought youthfulness back into my older dog and is just a joy and blessing to have in our family!
