We had two cats and one pit bull when I saw a Facebook post from an animal adoption agency about a cat who was blind in one eye.

I talked to my family about her, but they said we didn’t need another cat. They reminded me that another pet would mean more food, more supplies, more veterinary care, and more responsibility.

But I could not stop thinking about her. After much begging, pleading, tears, and bawling my eyes out, they finally agreed to go see her.

We traveled to another state to meet her, and once we did, my family fell in love with her, too. We brought her home, and she fit right in.

Three of our animals have themed names, and with a name like Fiona, she fit perfectly into the family.

Click to Help James

James and his blind brother, William, were found abandoned on the street when they were just four weeks old. James was born with one blind eye that started to cause him discomfort. Over time, that eye became increasingly painful and irritated. James is the seeing-eye cat for his brother, making his condition even more urgent to treat.
