Houdini escaped sure death when abandoned on a busy expressway but rescued by a compassionate animal lover.

When we adopted him, he escaped his safe place kennel, sliding between the wires. He was finally spotted hiding "E.T."-like among the stuffed animals on a bed.

He pulled his disappearing act several more times, always reappearing after we had searched for him everywhere. Guess he was in his Houdini mode! He had earned his name HOUDINI!

He is now a good shepherd with "Sheep", his catnip toy. He sleeps with, next to and on Sheep to keep him safe from our other cat, Velvet (AKA Missy). He sleeps on my head at night, and begs for kitty kookies during the day by placing one or two paws on my arm or leg.

Now, at 15, he's quite the loving kitty, mostly appearing on the top of my recliner or on his cat perch by the front bird-viewing perch. Love that special magical kitty!
