A friend of mine was working in a local pet boutique when a woman walked in with several dogs asking if anyone could adopt them. If not, they were going to a shelter as she could not afford to keep them.

Smallest working dog, Lucy, stands beside her Guinness World Records certificate.

My friend took a little Yorkie that was very sickly and took her to a vet hospital where they fixed her up. She named her Lucy and had her certified as a therapy dog.

A small dog with long hair stands on a wooden floor, sticking out its tongue.

About a year later she got ahold of Guinness and sent them some of my photos of her and had her weiight and size certified and she ended up becoming the record holder of the smallest working dog in the world.

This just proves that rescues can be hidden jewels
