After having to care for a friend's cat for two months, I decided I wanted to have a cat!
My friends were about to move abroad in six months, so the cat, a six year old male, would come to me. The only problem was my boyfriend, with whom the cat had a very competitive relationship. My boyfriend told me that this cat was a very wild and unfriendly animal, and that he would prefer not to take him for our pet.

I told him that I wanted a cat, so if our friends decided to take the cat with them, then I would adopt a kitten from the street.
One Saturday night, as my boyfriend opened the door, I saw a kitten's face coming out of his backpack! It was about 8 weeks old, underfed, dirty and sick with cat flu.
My boyfriend said, "I saw her sitting in the middle of the road, still, and I thought that if she stayed there, a car would hit her!"
I kept her, fed her and started searching for doctors on a late July weekend. I knew nothing about cats, their illnesses nor their care. She was sneezing and coughing and her mewing was mute.

On Monday, I took her to the vet and he gave her the proper medication, and the next day, I lost her, as she fell off the balcony. It was a miracle that I found her again that dark rainy evening.
Lucy started doing better and better, but the flu wouldn't heal, and the time was coming for my friend's cat to arrive. It was dangerous for him if he got the flu, too. I vaccinated him and took him to the house.
I followed Jackson Galaxy's advice about introducing them. The third day, he escaped and hissed at her, but the sixth day, he sneaked into Lucy's room again, very carefully and respectfully. The ninth day, they started sharing the room peacefully.

I now have two lovely cats, enjoying each other's presence.
Lucy is healthy now, and I m a happy cat mom!
